WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY
WRITING?
What am I writing at the moment? There’s a few things. There’s a couple of ideas simmering away for a winter holiday themed anthology that I’m really excited about. There’s a bunch of horror novels in development as well. One of them is a post-apocalyptic vampire story.

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE AUTHOR? IF YOU HAD 5 MINUTES WITH THEM, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
How do expect me to pick just one author, jeez...um...doobie doobie doo... It’s going to have to be Ramsey Campbell. I’m not even sure I’d be capable of asking him anything. I would definitely thank him for being so damn good at what he does. Seriously, he is one a few authors who can scare me with their stories, while I’m reading them in broad daylight. He’s absolutely amazing.

I’m going to have to go with knowing the process of what happens during a cremation while writing a zombie story.

WHAT IS YOUR MUST-HAVE WRITING TOOL & WHY?
While writing there are a couple of things I need really. The first is copious amounts of tea. Tea is a must. It’s soothing, and the caffeine helps keep me awake. The other thing that is absolutely essential is total silence. This and the tea work together to help me concentrate. Tea helps everything. Everybody should drink tea.

There’s one area I have wanted to visit since I was a teenager. A friend and I actually made a plan to go over there and fulfill a mutual goal. If I could, I’d head to tornado alley and go on a storm chasing holiday. Those storms are just jaw-droppingly beautiful and terrifying to see on film. I have to see at least one tornado in my life. I just have to.

The one thing I could do better than anyone the moment I walked into a crowded room, and I mean the moment of entering the room, is immediately wanting to go home. That’s not a joke. Such is the life of the introvert. I’m no good in crowds of people. Unless it’s a music festival, rock/metal show. Who cares about crowds when your favourite band(s) are on stage.

Oh, I have more than one. Is it OK to put more than one answer?... Twister. This is a movie I would watch, rewind the tape, and watch it again multiple times a day, sitting there saying all the lines along with the actors... Withnail & I. This movie is hilarious. It never gets old. Bruce Robinson who wrote and directed it came up with incredible dialogue. If you haven’t seen it, you really should find yourself a copy. You won’t regret it... What else...The Crow... OK, I’ll stop.
