WHAT IS YOUR MUST-HAVE WRITING TOOL & WHY?

My iPad. I love that it’s so easy to use, quick to fire up and portable.

IF YOU COULD INVENT ANYTHING YOU WANTED, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

An implant that could let me function perfectly on just a couple of hours sleep. My evenings are never long enough and I’m constantly knackered from having two young kids. Coffee is the best I’ve got right now!

WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE AUTHOR? IF YOU HAD 5 MINUTES WITH THEM, WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?

I don’t think anyone beats Roald Dahl. He was my favourite author when I was a kid and now I’m just starting to introduce his stories to my eldest child. That look of wonderment on her face when she hears how George’s grandma reacts to his medicine is just magic. Dahl really was something special.

IF YOU COULD TRAVEL ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD YOU GO AND WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Iceland. I want to do a proper cruise around it at some point over the winter months. The northern lights, the turquoise waters, the ice caves, the history... It’s all so beautifully fantastical.

IF YOU WERE TO WALK INTO A ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE WHAT CAN YOU CONFIDENTLY SAY YOU DO BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM?

I put the pro in procrastination.

WHAT IS ONE MOVIE YOU CAN PRACTICALLY QUOTE FROM START TO FINISH?

Jurassic Park. I will fight anyone who suggests it’s anything but the perfect movie.

IF YOU HAD TO BE SHIPWRECKED ON A DESERTED ISLAND, BUT ALL YOUR HUMAN NEEDS -- SUCH AS FOOD AND WATER -- WERE TAKEN CARE OF, WHAT TWO ITEMS WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE WITH YOU?

A pen and notebook. Sometimes simple is best.
